Last Saturday Soul Cupcake embarked on their largest project since the launch of their debut album ‘Now!’.
The project; still in progress; is a large scale video of 13 songs from the Soul Cupcake repertoire featuring the brand new line-up!
Here are the stats: 10-piece band; 4 videographers; 10 cameras & 15 video lights – simply epic and exhausting however the sneak peak we’ve had at the footage looks and sounds unbelievable!
With our brand new singer Tika fronting the band and with our two new boys; Phil Hayter – alto sax & Keaton Tait – guitar; the band is more alive than ever! The new line-up has brought an excitement and energy that is palpable every time we get together!
This Saturday we’re going to bring that excitement to The Spotted Mallard for a ‘soul-down’ with a Brisbane based soul band. The band is lead by Murray Cook of Wiggles fame and the brand new band he’s got himself is called .. The Soul Movers. He’s ditched the prime coloured skivvy for funkier rags and he’s parking his big red car at The Spotted Mallard on Sat 24th Feb.
Expect 4 sets of soul drenched dancing and a night you won’t forget!
