Firefly Horns are a 7-piece horn-heavy, party band. The band plays all original tunes that reference a New Orleans, Bourbon Street flavoured parade. With chants and singalongs Firefly Horns are an enthralling band that want you on the dance floor having the time of your life. Whilst an all-original band some of the band’s tunes are named after quotes from 80s and 90s blockbuster movies with a few sonic quotes and references thrown in for good fun!

Firefly Horns debut show was a complete sell out with unfortunately people waiting outside trying to get in. The dance floor was one heck of a party!

On Saturday 3rd June this brand new band – Firefly Horns – have their debut gig at the beautiful Open Studio!

Firefly Horns are a high energy, horn-powered band with a sound that borrows from jazz, funk and soul. Firefly Horns vibe on New Orleans, Bourbon Street Parades and pay their respects to Movie Themes from the 80s and 90s.

Firefly Horns are a raucous party with trumpet, saxophone and trombone bringing an acoustic mayhem to match the drums, electric bass and electric guitar powerhouse.

After 6 full length albums, innumerable sold out shows, a 12-performance national tour and performing in some of the most notable and highly sought after venues The Daimon Brunton Quintet joined with a classical chamber quartet to create some of the most magical, inspiring and technically challenging music created.

Filmed in Santa Maria College’s Benedictine Theatre on a stage with 150 candles and 8 high-definition cameras.

The goal: to create groundbreaking, inspirational music and bring the audience ‘inside’ the music and on the stage with the ensemble.
