The Daimon Brunton Quintet (or DBQ) return to the beautiful Paris Cat Jazz Club on Wednesday 24th July.
At a gathering 20 years ago Daimon had an in-depth discussion with another musician asking the question whether it would ever be possible for an original, instrumental jazz tune of high sophistication and quality to be a popular ‘hit’.
Well the conversation finished without resolution and Daimon has been searching for an answer, via his compositions and trumpet playing, ever since.
DBQ hope to record their fifth full length feature album later this year and things are building to quite a climax.
On Wednesday the DBQ perform at The Paris Cat Jazz Club in an effort to answer the question that began 20 years ago.
If you subscribe to the DBQ website (via www.daimonbrunton.com) and attend the gig on Wednesday 24th July we will give you a full album length CD free of charge.
