Soul/Funk Night at The Spotted Mallard

‘Soul Cupcake’, ‘Better Than The Wizards’ and ‘Lake Minnetonka’ tore up the Spotted Mallard last Thursday 14th August. A cracking crowd of over 150 turned up to see the 3 bands in action and left with a belly full of soul as the 3 bands turned up the funk and shook their collective groove thing.

We’re doing it all again (FREE ENTRY!) Thursday 28th August so get on down to the Spotted Mallard, 314 Sydney Rd, Brunswick from 8pm for another crazy soul, funk and pop night.

Soul Cupcake – Now Album

Okay guys things are hotting up. This week we’ve received the final audio masters and they’re epic! The brief we gave to the amazing Ben Thomas was to have the album sound like a blend of Tower Of Power and Stevie Wonder and he has delivered in spades!

Furthermore we employed a professional designer, Dyani Stagg, to create a logo for the band that had the sound of the band jumping off the page. Well she has completely nailed it and here is the finished product…
